Bookings taken by phone must be confirmed in writing or by email.

A 10% deposit of the total price of booking would be appreciated prior to booking date, (time allowing), otherwise we go on trust. However a 10% deposit must be paid upon booking accommodation consisting of more than two rooms and for periods of more than 2 nights stay. This deposit can be sent by cheque made payable to Millwood Lodge.  Unfortunately we have no credit/debit card facilities at present; payments are by cheque or cash.  Refunds of deposit will be given for cancellations made 7 days prior to the arrival date. Cancellations within 24 hours of your arrival will be charged at the full rate..

The conservatory can be used for dining if you wish to order an evening meal from one of the takeaways,  we are more than happy to provide you with crockery and cutlery. All guest rooms are non smoking. 

Terms and Conditions - Self Catering

Bookings taken by phone have to be confirmed in writing or e-mail with deposit payment of 20% by cheque, remainder of cost to be paid 4 weeks prior to booking start, "time permitting". 

We allow well behaved pets. Any damage is chargeable.

There is parking for 1 vehicle but could make arrangements for a second if notified prior to your arrival.

Inside the cottage is non smoking.

Cancellations  made less than 4 weeks prior to stay will forfeit deposit, 2 weeks prior to stay will be charged at 50% of the full booking price. 

DIRECTIONS 

Turn off the M6 at junction 36.  Follow sign A590 Barrow in Furness. Stay on the A590 by passing Dalton-in-Furness until you see a sign for Furness Abbey and Furness General Hospital, take this left turn, continue up the hill passing Park road Boarding Kennels, continue for a further 1/4 mile and the take the left turn into Millwood Lane,  we are 300 meters down the lane on the left. ( if you miss the turn take the next left before the roundabout and it will bring you back up the Lane). Please dont make the mistake of going into Millwood Manor, our entrance is the small gate with the sign, where you can park to unload on the road side and then park at the rear.   click for google map
